ABOUT
GOCA’s project space features many of southern Colorado’s most innovative artists in short-run exhibitions focused on experimentation. GOCA’s curatorial program has been heavily focused on independently-produced major exhibitions that take years to plan, typical for the museum world. The GOCA Project Space offers artists space, funding, and invites guest writers in an effort to increase critical dialogue in the region. GOCA’s mission is to spark engaged dialogue about contemporary culture and current issues, and to make space for diverse perspectives.

Don’t miss the opportunity to experience Félix González-Torres’ historical artwork, Untitled (L.A.), right here at UCCS. González-Torres produced meaningful and restrained sculptural forms out of common materials. The physical form and scale of Untitled (L.A.) changes with each display, affected by its placement in the gallery as well as through audience interactions.

Lite Work/Light Work

Lite Work/Light Work is a collaboration between Lupita Carrasco and Felicia Kelly. Through the meditative practices of watercolor and collage, each piece is created as an exploration in grief and learning to carry each other in new ways.
