Healing Movement Classes
in the Gallery
Marie Walsh Sharpe Gallery
January 11, 18, and 25, 2025, 12-1pm
GOCA is proud to partner with Ambria Sward to present a series of Healing Movement Classes in the gallery in the beginning of 2025! These classes are FREE but registration is required.
About the Classes:
The class consists of a guided meditation, guided movements, movement prompts, closing meditation and closing affirmations. The guided meditation will be a body scan with the intention of bringing awareness to the mind-body connection, breath and calming/grounding. The guided movements will follow the sequence of the body scan. The movement prompts are invitations for participants to move around the space. The closing meditation is unguided where the participants will listen to the music and reflect on anything that came up for them during the class. The closing affirmations are to help close the class.
This workshop is recommended for people who are interested in healing through movement. If you have tried yoga, and Pilates, and enjoy moving your body this is great. If you have not tried a movement class, this class is great for you because no movement experience is required.
